What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
A Neighbourhood Plan is a legal document written by residents. It puts in place local planning policies to give us a major say about the future for places where we live and work.
It must have regard to national policy and conform to Uttlesford District Council’s Local Plan. But it is a powerful tool and its policies carry the same weight as the District Plan.
Final adoption depends on a referendum of the Neighbourhood Area electorate, requiring a majority of at least 50% of the votes cast.
