What is the Neighbourhood Forum?

In order to progress a Neighbourhood Plan, areas that do not have a parish or town council must have a forum which meets legislative requirements and the 2012 Neighbourhood Planning regulations.

A Forum must be established for the express purpose of promoting or improving the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the neighbourhood area.

Membership must be open to people living or working in the area and to elected members for the area.

It must have a minimum of 21 members.

Membership must be representative of the community and drawn from .different places in the area / sections of the community.
